Product Details

German™ 32" Grosse Messer Sword by Cold Steel®. The German Grosse Messer (big knife) is one of the largest of the blades that fall under the classification of Messer. It can be wielded in one or both hands and is capable of astonishing cutting feats. Cold Steels modern version of this historical classic features a hand-forged blade of 1060 carbon steel thats so sharp used it to split a telephone book in half, with a single blow! The guard and pommel are made from blued steel and feature rosewood handle scales strongly riveted to the swords full tang. The Grosse Messer also comes with a handsome wood and leather scabbard, reinforced with a steel chape and throat that has been blued to match the guard and pommel.

Clearly a Factory Second!!!!
Cold steel quality has really gone down, the steel in this sword is way too springy the blade won't penetrate a hollow core door because the blade just bends, the stitching is on the wrong side of the scabbered, the Handel and blade and basket hilt were not lined up, I have the suspicion that this website is selling factory second swords with out telling the customer. Or cold steel what they are doing. My sword was shipped from cold steel they said, and had no tracking number. I was worried I had bought a piece of fiction. All in all why is this website selling $400 swords for $175? Because they are factory seconds.
